Enjoy a week at our Eden Retreat filled with surfing, serenity, and connection amidst the stunning natural beauty of Esmoriz.
Surf Church Porto proudly hosts its spectacular annual Surf Camps in Esmoriz. With EDEN SURF, we aim to create a retreat focused on beauty, meaning, and community. This initiative is a collaboration between Surf Church Porto and Eden Culture Germany.
At EDEN SURF, you are offered to experience two full days off, like … off-off. Let’s enjoy the day and everyone new to the party without our phones and in a garden-like environment! 🍇🌳💐 Starting into the week on Sunday with the Surf Church Experience which is a Sunday Surf, community snacks at Surf Church, a popping sermon, followed by a self-organized dinner. From Monday to Friday, the camp offers a week to immerse yourself in restfulness, activities and facing the waves!
We just booked the camp side with the dates 18.-27. of october. Nevertheless our schedule is still in progress, while we are working on maximising inspiration and a hopeful program.
Surf
The surf spots around Esmoriz are known for great waves south of Porto. The sandy beaches of “Espinho,” “Esmoriz,” and “Cortegaca” on the west coast of Portugal have various orientations, ensuring waves of different sizes and clean breaks. Depending on the swell, wind direction, and tides, we select the most suitable surf spot of the day for beginner levels. Should the waves be too high along the entire west coast, there is also an option to choose from many other activities at the camp.
More Activities
Our camp offers a plethora of activities. There is a soccer field with artificial grass, a volleyball court, a worship area with a campfire site, and small palm trees under which you can relax on the grass. Outside the camp Esmoriz and nature wants to be explored by You!
The Table
At Eden Surf, we will share meals together! Because the table is where life happens! We are served by local, potugues families who cook traditional cusine for you. Cachorro, Suppen, Fish and also some portugues interpretations of international dishes.
EDEN CULTURE
Eden Culture (IG) is a movement that shapes culture and transforms it in the long term through inspiring people in a spirit of friendship for a future with a human face.
Our basis is the Christian view of humanity. Since Eden Culture is about creating a plural society, our events are not religious. Regardless of your beliefs and worldview, you are welcome.

Surf Church Porto (IG) is a community of christian surfers and local families who love Jesus and love waves. The people of Surf Church Porto invite you for a visit of their home town Porto and are a community who have found, or are currently discovering “fullness of life” as Jesus has promised in the Bible.

FAQ
Important to know: Even though we love surfing, we are in no way professionals who are able to give surf lessons (besides some basic steps). Therefore the camp is for surfing, as we provide all necessary equipment and take you to the beaches where you can surf and (as far as this can be foreseen) at the right time. 😊 However, it is not a surf school camp where you have professional trainers and teachers. We work on that by trying to get our pro-friends to join the camp and offer the beginners and intermediates some instructions. However, as it’s the first camp we can in now way ensure this. It’s still going to be amazing though. 😊
